HARDWARE: Make It or Break It
Whether its on the kitchen cabinets, the bathroom vanity, the front door, or just a piece of furniture, if the hardware doesn’t look good, the design doesn’t look good.
These are a few of my favorites!
Hardware: Make It or Break It
First off, if you haven’t heard – brass is back, baby.
And it works with just about anything…
HGTV: Brian Patrick Flynn, Modern Gray Kitchen Makeover
Brass is so pretty with gray. And can we talk about the design of that hardware for a minute – it may be simple, but boy does it pack a punch.
And paired with this gorgeous blue? Yes.
Look how gorgeous it is with this pale green color. Mmm.
Can you tell I LOVE brass?
If you aren’t a brass fan, don’t worry. There are still plenty of other options available.
These knobs are full of character and will add punch to any cabinet or piece of furniture.
If you love the mid-century modern look, opt for adding a glass or lucite into your hardware. Both pair beautifully with brass or chrome.
Short on budget, but need character on your cabinets? Make your own leather pulls.
Hardware can easily turn the plain jane cabinetry into high end cabinetry…
This brass handle adorns a basic white IKEA closet system and it totally transforms this piece.
Buster + Punch
What pops out to you in the photo above? No doubt – the hardware. It becomes plain cabinetry – there aren’t any decorative moldings or details – just plain wood fronts, but that hardware is devine.
Don’t forget about the furniture!
Adding casters to furniture can easily take a piece to a whole new level.
Add brass campaign hardware to corner and campaign pulls to basic furniture pieces and you have yourself instant character.
Door Hardware
And don’t overlooked the doors….
This door knob is sure to have your guests drooling before they even set foot inside your house.
Just because brass is back, doesn’t mean that chrome is gone. Its still a classic, alive and well. This chrome doorknob is a showstopper.
Take a look at the hardware on the glass doors in the photo above. Cremone bolts runs the entire length of the door and add a very traditional touch to the space.

Instead of doing a standard brass plate on push doors, why not do some be-dazzling?
