Fall in Love with Velvet Finishes: Red & Pink Furniture MakeoversFebruary 10, 2016 • By Kellie Smith
I have a love affair with my furniture paint line
This paint line is my baby.
I have worked hard to create it.
It was important to me that Velvet Finishes be easy.
Lazy girl painting at its finest.
The formula allows us to avoid the drudgery of the prep work, the sanding, the arm tiring process of waxing, and the ugly brushstrokes.
I hope that you have fallen in love with VF as well; and since it is February – the month of all things red and pink – I wanted to share these Velvet Finishes Red & Pink Furniture Makeovers with you!

Take a look at this Velvet Finishes Ethereal piece. Perfect for any little girl’s room! Actually, pastels are making a comeback this year and you know I think pink is for grown ups as well.
Kristin from Hunted Interior transformed this lantern with Velvet Finishes Glamorous. Here is what she had to say about using Velvet Finishes: “Like the name suggests, the finish is velvety smooth with a slight sheen. Not matte. Not glossy. And if you like the distressed look you can accomplish that too by simply sanding the edges where you’d like.” – Kristin
This Velvet Finishes Vivid liquor cabinet makeover from Jenna at Rain on a Tin Roof is one of my favorite VF makeovers! I love this bold, red hue so much. Jenna’s furniture makeovers are always amazing, be sure to check out her many other VF projects on her blog!

Velvet Finishes Vivid at it’s finest! Such a highly-pigmented shade, don’t you think?
Now this is one cool VF furniture makeover from Anam at Delicious and DIY. Her faux marble technique was a genius idea…isn’t the finish super cool? She used a mix of VF colours on this project, but the main colour was Velvet Finishes Glamorous.
Remember that time that my friend found this abandoned refrigerator on the side of the road and we made it fabulous with Velvet Finishes Vivid? To date, this was one of the coolest projects I have gotten to do. Go here to view this fridge in all of its glory before I rescued it with Velvet Finishes!
Shanna from Restoration Redoux used Velvet Finishes Ethereal on this lovely beauty. Isn’t that pattern totally fun?
