January and 2016 are here (whaaaat?) and you know what that means!?!
Velvet Finishes
has a new Colour of the Month!
That means savings for you!
WOOHOO!!
Now, I am a snow hater – a winter whiner – and a cold weather pansy.
I will admit it.
Remember the post I did last month on some of My Favorite Things? I even dedicated a section on ways I keep warm. Read up if you are a cold-natured person like me!
However, gorgeous white, grays, and neutral décor are beautiful and make the long winters more bearable. (kinda)
So, let’s get to it while I am sitting here with my heater on – seriously.
Our January Velvet Finishes Colour of the Month is
Understated.
Restrained, low-key. This beautiful shade of beige has just a hint of a green undertone.
Bottom line – IT IS BEAUTIFUL.
Such a great wintry shade, don’t you think? A beautiful neutral beige that looks great with all colors.
Let’s take a peek at some Understated painted pieces and inspirations, shall we?
Here is the ultimate post on How to Paint with Velvet Finishes. For this beauty, I covered her entirely with VF Understated and filled in the details with VF Opulent and Timeless. I love, love, love these three colours together. You can read more about this upcycle here!
I love a unique project and this one is definitely worthy of sharing. A DIY coffee table painted neutral. Love this shabby chic look?
Here is a lovely table that we brought back to life with Velvet Finishes Understated. It is amazing what a little VF paint can do!
Here are a few Velvet Finishes upcycles from our Wisconsin retailer, The Wild Dandelion and a few customer photos!
Find Velvet Finishes on Facebook to stay in the know of what we are up to! Lot’s of fun upcycles and deals will be happening in 2016!
Now, let’s look at some interiors that have an Understated vibe!
The marble, tile, windows, the lighting – GORGEOUS!
Below is mine and the BHE’s master bedroom – I love the Understated vibe of this room.
It’s one of my favorite rooms at Casa de Loco.
I find myself saying that a lot about all of the rooms at our house!
