It’s time to break out the vodka and gummy bears because it’s another one of my favorite designer’s birthday month!
Barry Dixon has to be one of the most talented designers of our time. His attention to detail, his balance of color and texture, the combination of pattern…I could go on and on.
Happy Birthday Barry Dixon – thank you for making the world a more beautiful place!
Alrighty, I have the vodka and gummy bears handy. Let’s celebrate the fabulous Barry Dixon, shall we?!
His love of modern-day travel and global influences remains integral to his work, but his products and interiors maintain a strong link to history, classical architecture and traditional forms. “All of my pieces are connected to both past and future, and by combining the two, I hope they will achieve a true sense of timelessness,” says Dixon. “I often wonder, ‘One or two generations later, will people still think this is a beautiful thing?’ If my designs meet that criteria, then I think it’s worthy of going into the collection.”
