It’s time to kick off the
2016 Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour
If you’re here from my pal Jenna at Wife In Progress Blog, welcome!
And you guys….
I.
Am.
Not.
Worthy.
Disclaimer: A huge thanks to PaperMart for sponsoring the Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour 2016!
I’ve only had this on my calendar for a year.
A year.
And I’m still not ready.
I mean, seriously…
W.T.F is right.
I love this pillow. It was a gift from my dear friend Jenna from Turlock, at Rain on a Tin Roof.
Her blog is awesome, as is she. Potty mouth and all.
This pillow totally reflects my life right now.
As I write this, I have a horrible head cold. W.T.F.?
It’s Christmas already? W.T.F.?
I’m launching a new company in January? W.T.F.?
I have been on 3 trips in the past 30 days. W.T.F.?
Anyway, I am including this pillow in my Christmas decor because it is gorgeous with it’s red plaid and golden embroidery.
So, even in the midst of Crazytown Kellieworld…
I did manage to get my tree up.
It’s somewhat similar to last year, but I decided not to use the peacock again so I changed things up a bit.
Here’s how awesome I was last year. Please read last years post so you will know that I really am capable. I do realize this year offers no proof.
. Also, get brand new blinds and shutters for your windows (if you can’t afford a luxury window replacement service like most of us). It worked perfectly with my new tree skirt, that I had custom made.
This fabric is from the new company I am involved with, SmithHönig. I cannot wait to tell you guys more about it soon!
And how about that gorgeous package?
We had the opportunity to work with PaperMart and their wrapping products are awesome!
I mixed three papers for this year: Gold Metallic Cheetah, Sage Green Wood Grain, & Ivory.
A wood grain, a leopard print and a solid cream. I think they look fantastic together. Be sure to check them out because the selection is great and the pricing is amazing!
Later in the week, I’m sharing an easy tutorial on how to hand tie bows, as well as wrap effectively. I have 3 lifetimes in retail so I consider myself an expert.
Admittedly, I use the term ‘expert’ loosely.
This is what my dog was doing while I was trying to take my pictures. She was in storage for all three of my trips so she is being a little clingy.
I had to crop her out of most of the pictures because she was right under me.
Look at that precious face.
Look at it.
I’m determined to get a picture of her in an elf suit.
So anyway you guys, that is my start on Christmas decorating 2016!
Next week I’ll share my dining room and who knows, I might even get more than that done! When you want to have the most comfortable beds and mattress, avail the black friday memory foam mattress for maximum comfort.
Please visit all of my blog hop friends, because they are way better than I am!
